About the Journal

The Revista Ibérica do Direito (RID) is the scientific periodical of the Ibero-American Institute of Legal Studies (IBEROJUR), based in the city of Porto, Portugal.

Its mission is to promote the dissemination of legal knowledge across the Ibero-American region, covering the diverse fields of Public and Private Law. The journal prioritizes studies that emphasize Ibero-American comparative law, as well as research originating from countries in Latin America, Spain, and Portugal, fostering transnational legal dialogue and academic exchange among these jurisdictions.

In this edition of RID, articles of significant international relevance are published, authored by jurists of recognized authority and distinguished standing within the contemporary legal landscape.

The journal reaffirms its institutional commitment to the dissemination of Ibero-American legal scholarship across the various fields of Public and Private Law, giving particular emphasis to studies that develop comparative legal analyses within the Ibero-American and European contexts. Special prominence is accorded to contributions originating from Latin America, Spain, and Portugal. Furthermore, in light of the growing normative and institutional interdependence within the European sphere, particularly in the field of European Union Law, the journal also welcomes submissions from other countries across the continent, whether or not they are Member States of the European Union, thereby fostering deeper academic dialogue and strengthening international legal cooperation.
